Boxcar Lullaby is a North Texas Americana band playing both original songs and carefully curated covers in their unique style. Their sonic landscape is inspired by a diverse group of influences including WILCO, Iron and Wine, Bonnie “Prince” Billy, Michael Nesmith, Joan Shelley, Milk Carton Kids, Patty Griffin, Big Thief, John Prine, Jackson Browne and many others. They are often described as relaxing, mellow, and uplifting. Songwriting, creative musicianship, and stage presence are at the forefront of their musical endeavor.

  • Ryan

A Texan native, who has lived in all corners of the globe, and now proudly calls North Texas home has been playing guitar and writing songs since the age of 17. He may not be a star, but he has stardust on him.

  • Rek

A man of mystery, a man of science. Rek, also a native Texan, is a wizard of the strings. Classically trained on Mandolin, known to play Mandocello, you can spot him nowadays traipsing up and down the fretboard of a hotrodded electric devil of a guitar.

  • Melissa

Some say If you wanna play in Texas, you gotta have a fiddle in the band. Well, we in Boxcar Lullaby believe in that statement. We are proud to have Melissa lending some class to our endeavor.

  • Ben

Ben Terry, the master of the “boom-bap” the stick tap on the hi-hat, rat-tat-tat-tat. Even his name carry’s rhythm: Ben Terry. Say it three times fast and you shall be visited by a mighty kick drum. Ben, joins us as a native Texan who is charged with keeping us in time. God bless him!
